The Big Fight

Jagran Lakecity University's School of Commerce and Economics along with the School of Banking and Finance organised "The Big Fight", an Inter-University/College debate competition based on Populist or Prudent Union Budget 2015-16. The competition was organised to critically analyse and evaluate the adequacy or otherwise of government policies and their effectiveness. Budget is for the people, so undoubtedly it should reflect peoples' desire and the national budget is a reflection of government priority and policies. Students from different Colleges and Universities presented their views on the subject where they tried to bring out different aspects of the Union Budget 2015-16. The students brought out some really interesting and important aspects of the budget and impressed the judges with their understanding of the budget which made it really tough for the judges to choose a winner from amongst the participants. The Chief Guest of the competition was Hon'ble Chancellor Shri Harimohan Gupta. On the occasion he also expressed his opinion on the Union Budget 2015-16.
