Radio programming survey at Ratibad

School of Media & Communication, Jagran Lakecity University goes pragmatic- Field visit to Ratibad Village

Students and Faculty members of School of Media & Communication visited Ratibad village near Bhopal for a radio programming related analysis. The objective of the survey was to learn technical basics of audio recording and their application on field to take views of the population for a radio show. This skill was utilized for taking Vox Pops (Voice of The People) of the villagers regarding sociological, economic, legal, developmental, health, food, women status and security related matters. Each student was made to take Ten Vox Pops on average in a span of one hour which helped them getting handy with on-field performance. After the visit, there was a discussion on challenges faced by students during the procedure and issues of communicating with the village residents. Later, Faculties gave an expertise view of the DOs and DON'Ts of audio recording which will help the students to perform with cautions next time.
