Our Students at International Peace Summit- 2015

Students from Jagran Lakecity University's School of Media and Communication attended a two day International Peace Summit which was organized by Gandhi Peace Mission on 2nd-3rd Feb 2015 in association with several Gandhian and Civil Society organizations on the occasion of the 100th year of Gandhiji's return to India from South Africa and 70th year of Noakhali Peace Mission. The Peace summit was held at Beliaghata Gandhi Bhavan, Kolkata; a notable place of Gandhiji's struggle in the pages of Indian Independence Movement. Theme of the conference was- "From Conflicts and Violence to Dialogue, Reconciliation, Development and Peace." Our students shared their views on "Youth Perceptive of Peace, Media & Violence and Regional Cooperation for Peace & Development, Education, Culture and Non-Violence." They also witnessed different cultural programmes and performances and enjoyed the performance based on Rabindra Sangeet.

Our students namely Prateek Tiwari, Nikita Kothari, Ankita Bisen, Mazid Hussain, Vivek Baghel, Mansi Mishra and Palak Yadav attended the Summit along with along with 150 other delegates from India, Bangladesh, Canada, Japan, Germany and Belgium.
