School of Humanities & Arts organized a workshop on 'Mindfulness for Well-being' on 8th November, 2016. Dr Noor Jahan Khan, Psychologist and Director, Excelsior facilitated the workshop. Mindfulness is a state of active and open attention focused on the present.

School of Humanities and Arts Jagran Lakecity University organized Flash Ad- Lib event for the students in an attempt to inculcate reflexive thinking on 5th August 2016. Theoretical knowledge is always essential but if this knowledge cannot be put into practice, it is of no avail. The competition served the same purpose of turning theoretical knowledge gained in classrooms to practical usage in daily lives, thereby becoming equipped in dealing with the surprises of one's unscripted life.
JLU International Conference 201626 - 27 Feb 2016 Jagran Lakecity University organised a two day international conference on "Mainstreaming Life Skills Education for Nation Building" on 26th & 27th February wherein eminent speakers from India, UK, USA, Hong Kong, South Africa, Singapore and Japan presented papers and shared their views on the importance of life skills education.

In the workshop students learned how to describe a business, its objectives, its strategies, market environment it is in and its financial forecasts. This workshop helped the students in understanding how to prepare a business plan and the various templates of business plan was also discussed.

BEC is an internationally recognised certificate accepted globally by leading employers, educational institutions and governments which is issued by the University of Cambridge and states the level of candidate's proficiency in English language. Students were informed about its importance in the real world and were also encouraged to opt it alongside their courses.

A Seminar on 'The International Award for Young People' by National Director, Mr. Kapil Bhalla was conducted. The Award in India is implemented through Open Award Centres (OAC), which are referred to as Youth Engaging in Society ('YES') Centres. The Award Programme was first introduced in India in 1962 with a view to encouraging young people in the country to achieve their full growth potential within the framework of Indian society, to improve their moral, social and intellectual well-being.

Dr. Pandey gave the knowledge about the play 'Tughlaq', its characters, themes and also spoke about the play as a political satire.
