Library

The School of Education library is fully automated with above 12,000 books catering to History of Education, History of Physical Education, Educational Philosophy, Educational Sociology, Education Psychology, Research Methodology & Statistics, Environmental Education, Population Education, Educational Technology, Educational Planning and Management, Physical Education, Sports & Yoga, Anatomy & Physiology, Sports Psychology, Health, Mental Hygiene, Value Education, Classroom Teaching Methodology, Microteaching, Lesson Planning, Educational Evaluation and many books for general and motivational reading.
The library is also decorated with many sets of encyclopaedias, bilingual & multilingual dictionaries, periodicals, magazines, national & international journals and national & local newspapers. The reading room is well-ventilated, illuminated and peaceful for trainees to spend quality time in upgrading their personal knowledge and professional competencies through print resources. The web-library provides to all students, the facility to surf the internet and access to the unlimited resources of information on latest developments in all areas affecting human upgradation. The library has a well defined section to display new arrivals too.

Display Room

Allotted a room for the display of trainee generated teaching material. Display of the best & worst teaching aids (what should not be done/made) from the last sessions have be kept for reference to the new trainees.

First Aid Room

The University believes in humane and emergency combating attitude, hence it has developed a first aid room where students, teachers or any other may be provided instant and proper help before medical care/doctor/ambulance arrives. The room has a bed, some medicines, a list of contacts of doctors/clinics & nursing homes in the vicinity and charts on first aid to common ailments as well as some 'Dos & Don'ts' of common illnesses. The trainees are also given sessions on first aid to deal with such situations in their work place.

Girls Common Room

University has a separate common room for females.

Conference Room

JLU has a well equipped conference room with state of the art facilities

Seminar Hall

Seminar hall with a sitting capacity of above 150 is used for conducting igniting mind lecture series, guest lectures, group discussions and numerous other academic activities.

Auditorium cum Seminar Hall

JLU has an auditorium with the sitting capacity of 300 to conduct cultural, musical and also intellectual activities like seminars, faculty development programmes, workshops etc..

Language Laboratory & Recording Studio

School of Education has a language lab equipped with latest software and hardware equipments for trainees to practice the oral usage including pronunciation, intonation and phonetics sound system of the medium /language of instruction. A recording studio, to develop audio study material and to train teachers in this aspect of education has been setup in the university in near future.

Hobby Training

Candle making, toy making, food preservation, cooking, jewelry making etc. workshops are conducted for trainee-teachers.

Gym

JLU Has a well equipped gym for the trainees of physical education. A well qualified Trainer is available to guide the students.

Indoor & Outdoor Sports

University campus has provision for carrom, chess, table tennis, hockey, cricket, badminton, volley ball, basket ball, kabbadi, Kho-kho, hand ball, skipping, martial arts, boxing, wrestling, football and athletics

Canteen

University has a canteen that caters to hale and hearty foods prepared and consumed in hygienic environment. The canteen has also put up captions against oily fast foods and unhealthy eating habits.
