Community Radio Survey at Mugaliyachap Village

The students of Jagran Lakecity University , School of Media & Communication conducted a survey on media habits, need and relevance among the communities of Mugaliyachap village. Directors, faculty members and students contributed with stimulation and keenness. The survey aimed at analyzing the requirement for a radio service and its programming formats to address the development issues in the villages regarding health, hygiene, sanitation, roads, electricity, water-supply, education. Students from the media department spent the sunlight hours by visiting local houses, meeting people of multiple age groups in the village and discussing their daily routine. Adding glory to the event, members of Nehru Yuva Kendra exhibited cultural talents in form of music, dance and qawwali with a spotlight on empowerment of rural youth in Mugaliyachap. Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Anoop Swarup along with esteemed directing members of Jagran Lakecity University; Dr. Atul Mehrotra and Dr. Sanjay Ranade presented a token of infotainment in form of sports gears and books to the youths in village. The survey ended delightfully with the Desi lunch packets of puris, sabzi and laddus. Sunday was not just a Sun-Day but it was certainly a Fun-Day!
