Our Schools

Jagran School of Journalism and Communication

Lakecity Live is a half hour weekly video news magazine produced, reported and edited by our students and aired on Internet Online Media Outlet. The students produce the programme in studios of SoMC as part of their audio or video practicum specialization and gain valuable experience in field work, news writing, video editing and more.

They experience the real world pressure and excitement of working on a life television programme and also create material they can use in their job search.

The news room employs about hundred student reporters, editors, designers, photographers, programmers, anchors and production experts. For more information, stop by our offices on the second floor of Block-A, JLU, SEH, Chandanpura.

Lakecity Voice is SoMC’s & JLU’s digital community Radio Station.  Creating, recording and broadcasting to the campus featuring programming from the School of Media and Communication (SOMC) and other schools within the University, as well as community and professional broadcast partners. Lakecity Voice is a great opportunity for our students, to learn & operate a professional radio station.
