Course Objective

The objective of this course is to capacitate the students to be able to understand the literatures belonging to various ages and to be able to analyze and interpret the same. By doing an in depth study of the different authors and genres, the students will explore and enhance their horizons pertaining to language and literature. This course will also develop their potential to make sound decisions about career options.

The skills you gain through studying an English Literature degree are marketable in most career areas. A graduate degree in English Literature would lead to the following career paths:






Admission to an undergraduate degree at School of Humanities and Arts requires a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) qualification with a minimum of 50% or an equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognised school under ICSE, CBSE, IB or State Board. Candidates appearing for their HSC examination (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply for admission. Their admission will be subject to their qualifying the exam with the required marks. The selection of candidates will be made based on their academic merit and performance in the Personal Interview round.
