JLU School of Humanities and Arts

From ancient times to the present technological era the field of Humanities & Arts has provided a deeper understanding of human life and its changing dynamics. This understanding enables us to build intellectually vibrant and inclusive society where each of us can flourish. We at Jagran Lakecity University are firm believers that there is no greater purifier on Earth than knowledge and to keep the beacon of knowledge illuminated, effective teaching learning methodology has to be incorporated.

JLU School of Humanities and Arts has already carved its niche in the arena of Humanities & Arts in Central India as a result of its incessant tendency for hard work but it is merely the tip of the iceberg. The School is ever growing in strength and capacity with each passing year and has incorporated several new courses in graduation as well as in post graduation. The students here expand their horizons by studying the subjects like Psychology, English Literature, Public Administration, Sociology, etc. which helps them in preparing for an increasingly changing multicultural world.

Our aim is to provide the students with the flexibility to choose specialization from a broad range of subjects. We believe in student centered approach and the course structure is designed in such a way so as to encourage students to reflect on human conditions and relevant contemporary issues. We follow the teaching methodology based on case studies, live projects, internships, exposure visits and experts lectures. After organizing myriads of workshops, guest lectures and international conferences in our University premises, the School, with its highly qualified faculty members has achieved soaring applause.

The skills acquired with a degree in Humanities & Arts will vary with specialty but generally the students will attain improved skills of observation, description, synthesis, analysis and interpretation. These skills will help the students to reflect upon essential strategies to solve the problems faced by our society. The crux of the discipline of Humanities and Arts is not to manufacture machines or money managers but to manufacture a beneficial human being who is an amalgamation of appropriate attitude and employability. We motivate our students to move beyond their comfort zones so as to turn the challenges faced by them into opportunities. We enable our students to be proactive rather than reactive in today’s fast changing environment.
