Course Objectives:

The program aims to provide advanced course of study to post-graduates in Psychology. The curriculum and syllabus intend to provide the students the basic training required to become professional counselors in their selected specialized area. It will train them in conducting research work in different areas of Psychology and prepare them to undertake higher responsibilities in their professional field.

Studying psychology gives you a broad range of skills that span both science and the arts and opens up opportunities with a variety of employers. A postgraduate degree in Psychology would lead to the following career paths:

 

Eligibility Criteria: Admission to a postgraduate degree at School of Humanities and Arts requires a minimum of 50% in an undergraduate degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline from an institute affiliated to a university or any university recognized by UGC. Candidates in the final year of their respective undergraduate programme are also eligible to apply for admission. Their admission will be subject to their qualifying the exam with the required marks. Applicants for the PG course will have to appear for a Personal Interview (PI) round. The selection of candidates will be made based on their academic merit and performance in the PI round.
