Course Objectives:

B.Com (Taxation) is an undergraduate degree awarded after successful completion of three years program or course that generally covers the study of principles of accounting, financial planning and economic theory along with a specialized focus on taxation. The programme through its study of taxation as specialization provides a strong base for student aspirants of professional courses - CA, CS, CWA and also prepares students for varied positions in the area of Tax Consultancy. B Com provides sound subject knowledge of core and specialization courses through effective pedagogy with focus on skill development strengthened by cultural values thereby serving as a firm foothold for advanced postgraduate studies in taxation.

Eligibility Criteria: Admission to an undergraduate degree at School of Commerce and Economics, JLU Bhopal requires a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) qualification with a minimum of 50% or an equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognised school under ICSE, CBSE, IB or State Board. Candidates appearing for their HSC examination (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply for admission. Their admission will be subject to their qualifying the exam with the required marks. The selection of candidates will be made based on their academic merit and performance in the PI round.
